Investing in Your Mental Health
Seeking support for emotional well-being is one of the most important investments you can make in yourself, your relationships, and your future. Whether you are navigating personal challenges, relationship concerns, caregiving responsibilities, grief, stress, or life transitions, therapy can provide meaningful support and lasting change.

Session Fees & Insurance
My fee is $175 per 45-minute session. Payment is due at the time of service.
Because mental health benefits vary among plans, I encourage you to contact your insurance provider directly to understand your coverage, including deductibles, co-payments, authorization requirements, and reimbursement policies.
For many clients, I am considered an out-of-network provider. Depending on your specific plan, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement for services. Please contact your insurance company to determine your out-of-network benefits.

New Client Registration
To simplify the insurance and billing process, I use Headway, a secure platform that manages insurance verification, billing, and payments. Once you schedule an appointment, you will receive an invitation to enroll through Headway, along with my new client intake forms.
To ensure a smooth start to treatment, all enrollment and intake paperwork must be completed several days prior to your first scheduled appointment. Completing these forms in advance allows us to verify benefits, review important information, and focus our time together on your care and treatment goals.

Protecting Your Confidentiality
Many managed care plans require therapists to provide detailed clinical information in order to authorize treatment or approve additional sessions. This information may include personal history, diagnoses, medications, family circumstances, and other sensitive details.
I believe your personal information should remain as private as possible and that you should have greater control over who has access to it. Working outside of most managed care systems often allows for a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion.

Therapy Guided by Your Needs
Insurance companies frequently determine what types of therapy are eligible for coverage. Many plans focus primarily on individual therapy and may not adequately cover couples counseling, family therapy, or other relationship-focused services.
My approach is to work with the people who are seeking change and growth, whether that involves an individual, couple, family member, caregiver, or loved one. Treatment decisions should be based on clinical needs rather than insurance limitations.

Greater Flexibility in Treatment
Managed care plans often require prior authorizations, treatment reviews, and ongoing approval for sessions. They may also limit the number of sessions available each year or dictate how often therapy can occur.
Effective therapy is not always a one-size-fits-all process. Some individuals benefit from weekly sessions, while others may need more intensive support during particularly challenging periods. I believe treatment decisions are best made collaboratively between therapist and client rather than being determined by insurance guidelines.

Support for Life's Real Challenges
Many concerns that bring people to counseling—including relationship difficulties, caregiving stress, challenges with aging parents, workplace concerns, life transitions, grief, and family conflicts—may not be fully covered under certain insurance plans.
Therapy should provide a place where you can discuss the issues that matter most to you, regardless of whether they fit within an insurance company's coverage criteria. My goal is to offer a supportive, compassionate environment where your concerns can be addressed without unnecessary restrictions.

Questions?
If you have questions about fees, insurance reimbursement, Headway enrollment, scheduling, or whether therapy is right for you, please feel free to contact me. I am happy to discuss your options and help you determine the best path forward for your care.
