In general, you’ve had a great career. You’ve made a difference and enjoyed most days at work. Life is changing though. Children may be out of the house, an inheritance has come, you’ve discovered you want to try something new or found a new passion. Life feels shorter somehow and it’s time to get strategic on what the next years are going to be like. Determining a second career path is much different than beginning ones’ career. There are many other factors at play. Is it too late to start again, to find a new career path or build on what you have already established? What if things don’t work out? These are common questions for individuals mid-career or later. It is helpful to speak with someone who is trained in career assessment, has taught others successfully those skills and wants you to have the best rest of your life possible. Dr. Chester uses gold standard assessment tools along with other “thinking and doing” exercises to help her patients get the most out of their work life. Expect to spend 5-7 sessions with Dr. Chester exploring yourself and what is important to you. Then go out and start making a difference the second time around!
