Men

It’s not easy to be a man in today’s world. If the media is to be believed there are more “bad” men in the world than “good” and the “good” ones may flip at any point in time. What are good men to do when there are expectations from so many, and let’s face it, temptations daring to be rejected. Dr. Chester enjoys working with men in therapy. The kind of men who come to see her are men who want to make a change and are looking for a place where they can be real and supported as they make those changes. They find that place in therapy.

Dr. Chester works with men on topics like:
  • Relationships
  • Sex
  • Career
  • Substance Abuse and Alcohol
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Infidelity
  • Parenting
  • Divorce

As you would imagine, many of these topics are intertwined.

Therapy is a safe place for thinking and reflecting, putting the pieces together, and deciding how those pieces are going to affect the present and future. Like going to the gym and having a trainer, talking and making sense of life with a trusted professional can be energizing and feel really productive.

Dr. Chester doesn’t want to see anyone for years. She wants you to feel like you are making progress from session #1. She works with you on goals and metrics to determine how the process is working for you. Like anything worth having, you must work for it. So you can expect "homework" in between appointments. With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Chester has the knowledge and insight to help you be the man you desire to be.
